About
Alejandro Ingelmo is immersed in tradition. Coming from four generations of shoemakers, he has come to understand the materials, process and craft of shoemaking intimately, and has integrated that knowledge and experience into his own collection.
Influenced as much by architecture and industrial design as the craft of making, he has unified these interests aesthetically and conceptually: the collection is modern, architectural, and uniquely tactile - and hand-made in Italy to exacting specifications. Just as with a brilliant modern building, the shoes are made to stand the test of time, while maintaining their luxurious nature.
Alejandro Ingelmo founded his namesake brand in 2006, almost following in his Grandfather’s footsteps, who himself had a shoe collection called simply ‘Ingelmo’. In Havana, Cuba, Ingelmo Shoes were seen as the hallmark of quality. Each pair was made specifically with the client in mind, and to be worn and cherished.
